Create multi-DOF Finite Element MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) models and develop theoretical analysis of MEMS devices; work with MEMS foundries for process development and prototype fabrication; research, design, evaluate, install, operate and maintain mechanical products to meet requirements; perform detailed multi-DOF mechanical modeling and simulation; design MEMS gyroscope, accelerometer, resonator, or similar device; investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions; direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specifications; develop electrostatic actuators and capacitive sensing; validate the designs on real silicon structures; set up test system and conduct characterization and de-bugging of new device design; research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
